Dual Pilot License

Prerequisites

• Pilots must have 100 hours hill flying, or 250 towed flights
• Your hang glider flying skills must be current
  

What you need to bring with you

• Water to drink and food to eat for each day of your course.
• Association membership
• Additionally, if abroad abroad, Passport, Driving Licence, Accident insurance including repatriation, National insurance no E111 available from your post office.
• Your solo flying equipment (alternatively, available for hire through Lejair).

What you will learn

• The care of your passengers, briefing your passengers for contingencies and emergencies.
• Emergency procedures, Familiarity with Dual wing and associated equipment.
• To adjust your flying style to comfortably accommodate your passenger.
• How take off and land on wheels and to practice these techniques.

The tasks you will need to complete

• Minimum of 6 takeoffs and landings on wheels.
• Minimum of 6 dual flights with a dual rated instructor.
• Minimum of 6 flights with a hang glider pilot as a pasenger (at this point you will have been rated as a dual pilot)
• Minimum of 4 flights with a non flying passenger.

Priviledges you will enjoy on obtaining this certificate/rating

• To take passengers for dual flights provided no financial reward is received by you.
• All dual flights must be made in accordance with accordance with BHPA Instructions, Procedures and Code Of Conduct.

• The course time-table always varies due to weather conditions and location. Morning and evening air is generally better for training as the air is calmer. Therefore it is necessary that you talk to the instructor to get a plan for the start time of your
