Our Training Sites

Since 1984, Lejair has been successfully engaged in hang gliding tow training from our site in Fransham, Norfolk, UK. In addition, during the UK's winter months, we regularly migrate to Lanzarote, in the Canary Islands, where we continue training operations and organise flying holidays for those wishing to escape the winter gloom of Britain.

Both the above continue to be successful operations for us, However, the unpredictable nature of the UK weather has, to date, hindered us from maximizing our potential, from a business point of view, and has not permitted us to offer as many flayable days to our students and customers as we would have liked. Also, during this time our operations have tended to be very much tow based the UK during the summer and hill/mountain based in Lanzarote during the winter which has tended to restrict the choices of our customers somewhat.

As a result, we have for some time been looking for an additional site to operate from, one with a better, and more predicatable climate that allows us to operate more days of the year and to offer the broad range of training and flying opportunities, winch towing, aerotowing, hill flying and mountain flying, to all our students and customers within a few miles of our base location.

We are delighted to now have setup operations around Algodonales and Villa Martin in the Andalucia region of mainland Spain. The flatlands around Villa Martin are proving ideal for our winch and aerotow training, and flying activities, whilst the nearby hills and mountains of Algodonales are proving ideal for hill training and mountain flying.

We hope Andalucia will become our main base of operation, however we intend to continue providing training and holidays in Lanzarote during winter months and to continue operating from our Norfolk site, in the UK, for a couple of months each summer when, frankly, the weather in Andalucia is a bit to hot.
